The 2017 National Lawyers Convention of the Federalist Society for Law & & Policy Research studies will be held November 16-18 at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington. This year’s style is “Administrative Agencies and the Regulatory State.” As typical, the conference includes an impressive lineup of judges, federal government authorities, personal lawyers and academics (consisting of a couple of Conspirators).
Amongst the highlights of this years conference are:
- Remarks by popular administration authorities, consisting of White Home Counsel Don McGahn, Chief Law Officer Jeff Sessions and EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt.
- Speeches and looks by more than a lots federal judges, consisting of David Barron (CA1), Amal Thapar (CA6), Kevin Newsom (CA11), Jeffery Sutton (CA6), Edith Jones (CA5), Brett Kavanaugh (CADC), Diane Sykes (CA7), and William Pryor (CA11), to name a few (consisting of one Justice Neil M. Gorsuch).
- An argument over the tradition of Lochner v. New York City in between Yale law teacher Akhil Reed Amar and Georgetown law teacher (and VC factor) Randy Barnett.
- A variety of panels covering subjects from separation of powers and antitrust to environmental management and libel law, including a large range speakers consisting of Michael McConnell, Richard Epstein, Heather Gerken, Abbe Gluck, Philip Hamburger, John Harrison, Gillian Metzger, Lisa Heinzerling, Jonathan Turley, Ted Shaw and John Duffy, amongst numerous others.
